'This Is A Tragic Day': Pastor ID'd As Woman Killed In Newburyport Crash
A pastor who was to deliver a prayer at the State of the City Address in Newburyport in Essex County, Massachusetts, on Wednesday night, Feb. 28, has been identified as the person killed in a truck versus pedestrian crash, the city announced.
Rev. Helen Murgida, age 81, a pastor at First Religious Society's Unitarian Universalist Church in Newburyport, was struck by a Ford F-150 just after 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Green and Pleasant streets on Wednesday.

Aristeo Enrique Ramirez Garcia, from El Salvador, was hit by a commercial vehicle on Chelsea Street and Curtis Street shortly after 5:40 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17.
The driver stayed on the scene, and Boston police were investigating Garcia’s death as of Monday morning, Dec. 18.
Garcia worked as a cook, and he leaves behind a wife, Maria Aguilar, and a 3-year-old daughter, NBC Boston reported.

A bicyclist from Massachusetts has died after he was hit by a truck while competing in a race in Vermont last weekend, according to authorities.
Police responded to a crash between a pick-up truck and bicyclist near the intersection of Brook and Carter roads in Burke, VT, around 9:20 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, Vermont State Police report.
Initial investigation determined that the bicyclist, later identified as 54-year-old Richard Wanstall, of Marblehead, MA, was participating in a local race when he was hit by a Dodge truck.
