Car Crash Into Townsend Home Leads To Arrest Of Man Wanted By Leominster Police A 46-year-old man from New Hampshire, who was wanted by police in Central Massachusetts, was apprehended after he crashed his car into a home this weekend, according to authorities.  Dennis Legere, of Mason, NH, was arrested and charged after he allegedly fled a traffic stop and crashed into a Townsend home just before 5 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, Townsend Police Chief James Sartell reports.  The crash came after an officer tried pulling over a gray 2021 Buick Encore, driven by Legere, that was speeding near the Lunenburg line. Police learned that the car had crashed in…

Spent Shell Casings Found At North Middlesex Regional High School: Officials School officials in Middlesex County are investigating after two spent shell casings were found at a high school this week. The casings were found in the boys locker room bathroom at North Middlesex Regional High School around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8, Superintendent Brad Morgan and Townsend Police Chief James Sartell report. One Killed, 6 Injured In Townsend Car Crash: Police One person has died from a recent head-on collision that happened in Townsend, authorities said.  Police responded to the crash near the intersection of Route 119 (Main Street) and Route 13  around 5:35 p.m. on Monday, June 6, Townsend Police said.  Upon arrival, officers found seven people injured from the two-car collision. All were taken to local hospitals for treatment and the driver of one of the vehicles later died from their injuries, according to police.  Initial investigation revealed a sedan crossed the center line while traveling westbound on Route 119 a…
