We Know Who Killed Claire Gravel In Mass In 1986, Essex County DA Claims The Essex County District Attorney announced on Wednesday that investigators believe they have solved the killing of 20-year-old college student Claire Gravel, a cold case that has stumped police for 36 years.  John Carey, 63, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence at MCI-Concord, will be charged with the death of Gravel in the coming days, the Essex County District Attorney said on Wednesday, Aug. 24.  Gravel, who is from North Andover, went out with friends to a bar in June 1986, The Daily News said. A friend gave her a ride to her apartment at the Salem State campus…

Massachusetts Man Gets Life In Prison For 2017 Homicide Of 25-Year-Old Man A Boston man was sentenced to life in prison for killing a 25-year-old man from Lawrence five years ago, the Essex County District Attorney's Office said.  Jeffrey Tapia, age 28, was found guilty of the first-degree murder of Jensey Hernandez on Wednesday, June 29, the office reports.  Investigators determined Tapia shot Jensey, along with his brother Javier, during an altercation outside of a house party at 234 Bailey Street in Lawrence on July 30, 2017, the office reports.  Jensey was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead while Javier has lost complete use…

The announcement of an arrest was made in Massachusetts by Essex County District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett on Wednesday, April 27, that after nearly 34 years, a suspect has been nabbed in connection with the murder of 11-year-old Melissa Tremblay in 1988.
