Massive Test Of Emergency Alert System Scheduled: Here's What To Know Ahead Of Time It will only be a test, but it will be a big one. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) this fall. The national test will consist of two portions, testing Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) and Emergency Alert System (EAS) capabilities. Southhampton Resident & Former CT Teacher and Coach Keith MacBain Has Died Keith MacBain died at his home in Southampton on Sunday, Sept. 13 due to complications from Parkinson’s Disease.  Keith was born in Englewood, NJ, and lived on a small farm in Closter, NJ, where his father ran a kennel. He later attended Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts and graduated in 1956. He received a B.A. in English from Cornell University in 1960 and an M.A. from Columbia Teachers College in 1964.  He married Cynthia Loring in August of 1960, and they moved to Homewood, Illinois, to teach for two years.
