Severe Crash: Both Drivers Walk Away From South Deerfield Wreck, Despite Damage To Cars

Somehow, no one was seriously injured in a South Deerfield wreck on Tuesday, May 23, that trapped one driver inside their car and totaled another, authorities said. 

A driver had to be cut from their car Tuesday afternoon, May 23, following a crash at Mill Village Road and Greenfield Road in South Deerfield.

The two-car crash happened just before 5 p.m. at the intersection of Mill Village Road and Greenfield Road, South Deerfield first responders said. When firefighters arrived, they found one car on its side with the driver trapped inside. 

Crews pulled out the windshield and freed the driver, who walked away with only minor injuries. Though, officials took them to Cooley Dickinson Health Care Northampton for evaluation. 

The wreck caused traffic delays as crews cleaned the scene.
