Police in Hampden County said they arrested a woman they found shambling along a street in Holyoke with a trashbag full of guns and two military K-Bar knives. Sheri Sulewski, 58, of Greenfield, was arrested on Sept. 15 after police received a tip about a woman wandering on Essex Street near High Street, Holyoke police said. Federal agents arrested a 44-year-old Massachusetts fugitive from Lawrence this week in New York, where they say he was trafficking large amounts of cocaine and fentanyl. Benito Bello, who also went by the name Zuriel Ayala Rodriguez, was arrested in the Bronx on Wednesday, Aug. 10, the DEA said. Agents said Bello had a kilo of cocaine and 14 kilos of the synthetic opioid inside the home where a minor child also lived. Two men are facing weapons and drug charges after police searched a van that was linked to a string of organized retail thefts. Authorities in Hartford saw a suspect driving an overdue U-Haul rental van that was linked to organized retail thefts throughout Connecticut and at least one armed robbery at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, Connecticut State Police reported. Man Wanted For Shooting 2-Year-Old In Region Turns Himself In To Police
A man wanted for allegedly shooting a 2-year-old Connecticut boy while showing off his gun has turned himself in to police. New Haven County resident Kharis Samuels, age 20, of Waterbury, surrendered on Monday, June 27. Samuels fled on Tuesday, June 21, after shooting the boy while showing a gun to others in the Waterbury home, said Lt. Ryan Bessette, of the Waterbury Police. Springfield Man With Invalid Temporary Plate Nabbed For Illegal Firearm Possession, Police Say
A man is facing charges after police said a traffic stop led to the discovery of a firearm and ammunition in Western Massachusetts. Troopers were patrolling Route 91 in Springfield at about midnight on Thursday, Dec. 23, when they saw a black BMW sedan near Exit 8 with a Vermont paper temporary license plate that wasn't valid, according to Massachusetts State Police.
