Suspected Fentanyl Trafficker Has Bad Day In Holyoke: Police A suspected drug trafficker had a bad trip last week when police stopped his car and seized pounds worth of fentanyl in Hampden County, authorities said.  Jose Rosado, 34, of Florence, was arrested on March 24, after police found the synthetic opioid during the stop along Route 91 in Holyoke, Massachusetts State Police said on Friday, March 31.  Officers seized 150 half-packages of fentanyl.  Rosado is charged with trafficking an amount of heroin/fentanyl between 100-200 grams.  For context, the DEA says a fatal dose of fentanyl can be as little as two milligrams.…

Woman Killed In Wrong-Way Hampden County Crash, State Police Say A fatal, wrong-way crash is under investigation in Western Massachusetts. It happed around noontime on Saturday, April 3, in Holyoke on Route 91. A preliminary investigation indicates that a 2005 Mercedes-Benz operated by a 69-year-old Holyoke woman was traveling southbound on the northbound side of Route 91 in Holyoke, Massachusetts State Police said.  The Mercedes struck a 2013 Honda Civic head-on in the left lane of Route 91 northbound, police said.
