One Hospitalized After Crash Involving School Bus In Springfield One person was injured in Western Massachusetts during a multi-vehicle crash with a school bus. The crash took place in Hampden County around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, in Springfield on Chestnut Street, according to the Springfield Fire Department. When rescue crews arrived on the scene, they found one passenger who had to be extricated from a passenger vehicle and taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, the department said. There were no additional injuries reported to the passengers on the school bus.
