Man Dies Day After Being Shot In Springfield; Police Seeking Tips
A man who was shot Monday afternoon, June 19, has died of his wounds, authorities said. Police have not publicly identified the man yet until they notify the family. The man was shot in the 600 block of State St, police said. Officers found him bleeding from a bullet wound after responding to a ShotSpotter alert just after 5 p.m. Responders rushed him to an area hospital for treatment, where he later succumbed to his wounds. Man Killed After Car Crashes Into Tree In Springfield, Police Say
A man died after crashing his car into a tree in Western Massachusetts. The crash took place in Hampden County around 1;20 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 1 in Springfield in the 700 block of Berkshire Avenue. According to Ryan Walsh, a spokesman for the Springfield Police, officers who responded to the area found a single-car crash into a tree. The lone occupant, an adult male, was transported to Baystate Hospital where he died from his injuries, Walsh said. The department's Traffic Unit is investigating.

Two Shot On Roadway In Springfield
Police are investigating after two men were shot on a street in Western Massachusetts. The incident took place in Springfield around 3:30 p.m., Sunday, June 5 in the 100 block of Massachusetts Avenue. When Springfield police arrived on the scene to investigate a Shotspotter activation, they found two men who had received gunshot wounds, said Ryan Walsh, a spokesman for the Springfield Police. Both men were transported to Baystate Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Walsh said. The Springfield detective bureau is investigating.

A Western Massachusetts man has been charged with assault and battery with a firearm after police found another man shot. Hampden County resident Luis Rodriguez, age 32 of Springfield, was arrested around 1:50 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 16, after Springfield Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation on Fort Pleasant Avenue. Police in Western Massachusetts are reporting a man was found dead inside a crashed car from gunshot wounds. Police arrested a Connecticut woman in connection with a double homicide. Hartford County resident Harlee Swols, age 22, of Enfield, was charged with violation of a protective order after she was located at the scene of the double murder around 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 8, Enfield Police Chief Alaric Fox said.
