Family Mourns 'Bright-Eyed' Little Girl Killed While Crossing Street In Andover The family of a 5-year-old girl who was hit and killed by a tractor-trailer as she crossed a street in Andover on Tuesday, May 9, said losing her has left an "impossible void" to fill in their lives. The family of Sidney Mae Olson said she was a "bright-eyed, energetic girl with springy curls." The young girl was struck as she and a family member crossed Elm and Main streets around 5:15 p.m., the Essex District Attorney's Office said. 5-Year-Old Killed By Tractor-Trailer In Andover Crosswalk: Report Multiple people in a crosswalk at the time of a tractor-trailer crash, but one person was struck and killed, officials say.  911 calls reported that a pedestrian had been hit by a tractor-trailer at the intersection of Elm and Main Streets at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, according to the Andover Police Department.  The pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was 5 years old, according to an updated story by Daily Voice.
