New I-695 Inner Loop Closure Point To Take Effect Monday: Maryland Transportation Authority
With the entire East Coast continuing to adjust to the collapse of the Key Bridge collapse in Maryland, the state's Transportation Authority announced new closures and alternatives for motorists on I-695. Beginning on Monday, April 15, there will be a new closure point in effect on the Inner Loop. Everything is a landing site during an emergency. A medivac pilot proved that on Wednesday, July 6, after they landed a helicopter on Interstate 395 to rescue a police officer. Park police requested the helicopter to rescue a motorcycle officer who'd crashed on Maine Avenue, WJLA said.
