Hard-Working Grandfather Of Three Killed In Maryland Crash Was 'Bright Light' Friends and family of a 62-year-old grandfather who was killed in District Heights last week are reeling after he was struck by a driver in Prince George's County. District Heights Willie Evans, Jr. was identified by police as the pedestrian who was killed late on Friday, June 7 while he was walking in the area of Pennsylvania Avenue and Forestville Road.  First responders found Evans lying in the roadway, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.  It is unclear what caused the crash. Corey Forrest, 48, was a passenger in the vehicle that crashed in a parking lot on Pennsylvania Avenue near Brooks Drive, on the night of Friday, July 15, according to Prince George's County police. The vehicle that Forrest was traveling in left the roadway for unknown reasons and entered the parking lot, striking multiple parked vehicles before coming to a stop.
