Vacant Home Uninhabited For Nearly 20 Years Goes Up In Flames In Maryland: Fire Marshal A tricky early morning blaze that broke out in a home that's been vacant for nearly two decades in Maryland caused extensive damage, according to the Fire Marshal. First responders from the Delmar Volunteer Fire Department and other nearby agencies were called shortly before 2 a.m. on Monday, March 8, to the 900 block of East Estate Street in Wicomico County, when a neighbor reported that there was smoke and flames coming from a nearby home.
