Hypothermia Alert Issued For People, Pets In Montgomery County A hypothermia alert has been extended for Montgomery County. The present alert lasts through Jan. 21, according to Montgomery County Fire And Rescue. Like people, cats and dogs are susceptible to frostbite and hypothermia so be sure to dress up your critters. A Hypothermia Alert is issued when forecasted temperatures, and/or wind chill fall below 32 degrees creating a hazardous situation in which hypothermia and frostbite are likely.
