Child Recovering At Hospital After Accidentally Shooting Herself In Montgomery Village: Police
A 3-year-old girl is recovering at an area hospital and a teen is facing a weapons charge after the child accidentally shot herself inside a Montgomery Village apartment, police say. Shortly after noon on Tuesday, June 4, officers were called to the 18700 block of Walkers Choice Road, where there was a report of an injured child. The girl was taken by Montgomery County Fire and Rescue personnel to an area hospital, where she underwent surgery. The shooting happened in the 6700 block of Alpine Street in District Heights around 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, police said. A central Pennsylvania child was allegedly attacked by a neighbor's dog while trick-or-treating, according to a lawsuit filed by the child's parents. Ashley and Jesus Zarate say their child suffered injuries while trick-or-treating at their neighbor Beth Bachman' home, according to a lawsuit filed in the Court of Common Pleas of Lancaster County on Jan. 18.
