Convicted Rapist Serving Life Sentence Charged In Mysterious Maryland Cold Case Killing The family of a 27-year-old woman raped and murdered in Maryland is one step closer to seeing justice served, after more than three decades. James Clinton Cole, 64, has been arrested in 27-year-old Cynthia Rodgers of Forestville 1989 slaying, Prince George's County Police announced. Cole was already serving a life sentence from an unrelated first degree rape conviction, the department said.  He was charged with first degree murder, rape first degree and several other offenses in Rodgers' death.
