Drug Dealer Accused Of Selling Fentanyl That Led To Christmas Day OD In MD
A real-life Grinch who allegedly sold the fentanyl that led to a fatal overdose in Montgomery County on Christmas Day is being held behind bars after being busted this week. Junior Salvador Alvarez Paz, 22, of Silver Spring, has been arrested and charged for selling the drugs that led to an overdose the morning of Sunday, Dec. 25 last year. It is alleged that on the morning of his victim’s death, Alvarez Paz arranged a meet, where he allegedly sold the drugs to him before he died, according to police. Delaware Man Who Died While In Custody Of Maryland State Police Identified
A Delaware man who died while in custody of the Maryland State Police has been identified, according to officials. Amar Womack, 64, died while in police custody in Centreville after he was arrested during a traffic stop for suspicion of possessing a controlled substance on Jan. 21, the Office of the Maryland Attorney General said. Womack was in a holding cell and began "exhibiting signs of distress and became unresponsive," two hours after he was placed there, according to police.
