Officers from the Anne Arundel County Police Department were called at around 1:40 a.m. on Feb. 5 to investigate a reported single-vehicle crash on Brock Bridge Road south of River Bridge Way in Laurel. The victim, who was so badly burned that the race, sex, or estimated age could not be determined, is confirmed to have died of a gunshot wound.
