I-81 Traffic Creeps, Crawls Following 'Serious' Crash At PA/MD Line:PennDOT
A serious crash on Interstate 81 caused some major deals near the Pennslyvania/Maryland state line on Monday, according to authorities. The crash happened in the northbound lanes of I-81 at mile marker 10.3 in Guilford Township, Greencastle at 9:28 a.m. on March 11, according to PennDOT. State police investigated the crash. The number of vehicles involved and any injuries were not noted. PennDOT expects residual delays.

An inmate escaped police custody while going to a doctor's appointment, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Aug. 22. Joshua Allen Nicholl, 26, of Greencastle was "temporarily authorized" to go to the "outside doctor's appointment" from the Franklin County Jail on Aug. 9, according to the state police release. Four children were among the eight people shot at when their neighbor became irate over their fireworks, according to court documents obtained by Daily Voice. A deadly crash shuttered part of Interstate 81 on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, authorities say. The multi-vehicle crash happened near mile marker 5 in Antrim Township around 11 a.m., according Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Megan Frazer.
