Friends and family are mourning the loss of Deangelo Moore, a father and entrepreneur who was gunned down in Prince George's County after making painstaking efforts to turn his life around after some trouble with the law.
Early on Wednesday, Oct. 3, police say that District resident Moore, 32, and Derrick Graham, 41, were shot in what his family described as "a senseless act of violence" in Oxon Hill.

The man who threatened a Maryland doctor who publicly advocated for the COVID-19 vaccine after tracking down his personal information will spend time in federal prison, the Department of Justice announced.
Aubrey, Texas resident Scott Eli Harris, 52, was sentenced to six months behind bars, followed by three years of supervised release after threatening the doctor in Maryland, according to US Attorney Erek Barron.

Squeegee Worker Kills Baseball Bat Wielding Man, 48, In Baltimore
A squeegee worker shot and killed a baseball bat-wielding man after he swung during an argument near Baltimore's Inner Harbor Thursday, July 7, authorities said.
Timothy Reynolds, 48, drove through the intersection near Light and Conway Streets when he came across the worker, Baltimore police said.
The two began arguing, prompting Reynolds to park his car and come back with a bat, police said. That's when he swung at the group of workers and was shot and killed by one of them, police said. The group fled.

PA Man Out On Bail For Strangling Woman, Dies In House Fire Along With 3 Dogs
A man with a history of violence and his three dogs died in a fire in Pennsylvania on Saturday, authorities say. Steven Greene, 32, of the 2100 block of Lower Bodines Road, Trout Run, Lycoming County died in the fire from smoke inhalation and severe burns, CBS 21 reports citing Lycoming County Coroner Charles Kiessling.
Greene has a history of violence, starting with charges of fighting in 2015, and most recently was out on $5,000 in bail for a harassment and assault that happened in Oct. 24, 2021, according to court documents.
