Fatal Four-Vehicle Crash On Route 1 Under Investigation In Maryland (Developing) A Route 1 crash involving four vehicles killed one driver and hospitalized two others on Tuesday night, Feb. 6, police said. The crash occurred just north of Country Meadows Lane in Laurel shortly before 9:45 p.m., according to the Howard County Police Department. A 1995 Chevy 1500 was heading northbound when it crossed the median and struck a southbound 2007 Pontiac Solstice. The Pontiac then hit a 2022 Hyundai Accent, while debris from the crash hit a 2022 Toyota Camry. Driver, 30, Dies In Stoney Creek Bridge Crash A 30-year-old driver died in a crash on the Stoney Creek Bridge early Tuesday, Feb. 8, police said. A 2007 Dodge Dakota was heading north on the bridge when the driver lost control and began to rotate into oncoming traffic around 5:25 a.m., Anne Arundel County police said. A 2009 Chevy Tahoe was traveling southbound on the bridge and was unable to avoid striking the Dodge. The driver of the Dodge, Kyle Ryan Cole, or Pasadena, was pronounced dead at the scene by Anne Arundel County Fire officials. The driver of the Chevy was transported to MedStar Harbor with minor injuries.
