The now-18-year-old suspect was arrested on Tuesday, July 19 in the crash that killed Jayden Baldree, 16 while she was riding a bike down a Baltimore county street, according to Baltimore County police.

Baldree was riding along Northpoint Boulevard when she was struck from behind by the suspect shortly after midnight.

Jayden was remembered as a "beautiful, bright spirited soul", by loved ones in a fundraiser created to support her family after her death.

The suspect was allegedly driving a dark colored 2005 Acura sedan at the time of the incident and fled the scene. The vehicle was later found unoccupied without tags in the intersection of Baltimore Street and Eastbrook Avenue.

Due to the suspect being 17 at the time of the incident, the driver's identity will not be released.
