Crane Collapse Ties Up Traffic In Maryland (Updated) Traffic came to a halt in parts of Maryland on Friday morning when a construction crane collapsed and blocked a stretch of I-70. Crews were called to Washington County at approximately 9 a.m. on Friday, July 28, where a crane went down near Crystal Falls Drive in Hagerstown, prompting an emergency response.
