More than a year after a fatal four-car crash in Maryland, state police announced that they have arrested a suspect who was allegedly impaired when he crashed head-on with another driver last summer. Woman Killed In Hit-Run Magothy River Boat Crash
A 48-year-old Maryland man has been charged in a hit-and-run boat crash that left a 63-year-old woman dead last month, according to the Associated Press. Police believe Brownell Edds, Jr., of Cape Saint Claire, was operating the boat that struck Laura Slattery and her husband, of Pasadena, while watching fireworks on the Magothy River July 3. A man from Anne Arundel County, who was driving under the influence, has been charged with killing a Baltimore woman, authorities said. Christopher Asher, 48, was charged for striking and killing Lizeth Guzman, 56, at the intersection of Davidsonville Road and Kings Retreat Road just after 10 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, Anne Arundel County Police said. Silver Spring Man Charged Months After Crash That Killed Beloved Grandmother: Police
A Silver Spring man has been arrested in a Kensington crash that killed a 72-year-old grandmother last November, authorities said. Gustavo Santos Campos, 42, was charged in the crash that left Michaele Anne Belford dead on Nov. 16, 2021, Montgomery County Police said. Campos was driving his blue 2006 Toyota Tacoma when he collided with a 2007 Toyota 4Runner, of which Belford was the passenger, while it was trying to cross the intersection of Connecticut Avenue and Franklin Street, investigators said.
