A heavily armed man is in police custody after being busted with a host of weapons and a veritable pharmacy of drugs in Southern Maryland, authorities say. The joint investigation between the St. Mary's County and Calvert County sheriff's offices led to the arrest of Markell Davian Carter, 28, who was arrested during a traffic stop in Calvert County. This week, investigators executed a search and seizure warrant at an apartment in the 2200 block of Iverson Drive in Great Mills, where they seized a variety of drugs and weapons, according to officials.
