A police vehicle with the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) was struck by gunfire during a pre-dawn shooting in a work zone on Tuesday, Jan. 30, according to authorities who are looking for leads. An MDTA officer was assisting with a work zone closure in the right lane of the ramp from northbound I-95 to I-395 (Exit 53) in Baltimore City when investigators believe a shot was fired from a passing vehicle around 2:15 a.m. The shot struck the MDTA Police vehicle, an unmarked Dodge Charger, which had its emergency lights activated, officials said. Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Police Officers are investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday evening in Baltimore City, officials announced. At approximately 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, the agency received a report of a shooting in the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Russell Street in Baltimore.
