Carjacker Hits Two Police Vehicles While Fleeing From Officers Outside Library In MD: Officials A carjacking suspect in Prince George's County went through extreme measures to avoid being apprehended by police on Wednesday afternoon. The Greenbelt Police Department issued an alert on Tuesday, May 30, advising that there was a carjacking outside an apartment complex in the 140 block of Westway where a man threw a woman to the ground, took her keys, and stole a Toyota RAV4.  There is a large police presence around the Greenbelt Branch Library located at 11 Crescent Rd in reference to a carjacking. Vandal Spray Paints 'Groomer' On Pair Of Maryland Libraries, Police Say A 30-year-old Montgomery County man was arrested for spray painting the word “groomer” on a pair of libraries in Prince George’s counties. Charles Sutherland, of Takoma Park, is believe to have vandalized the buildings on June 4 at the Greenbelt Branch Library, and June 9 at the  New Carrollton Branch Library, Prince George’s County Police said. Sutherland is charged with two counts of malicious destruction of property and multiple hate crimes related to defacing the building. He has confessed to the incidents.
