Swimmer At NY Beach Believed To Have Been Bitten By Shark, Police Say
A man swimming at a popular beach in the region is believed to have been bitten by a shark, according to authorities. The incident happened on Long Island at around 1 p.m. Thursday, June 30 in Wantagh. Nassau County Police say a 37-year-old man was swimming in the ocean at Jones Beach when he sustained a laceration to his right foot. The man was treated for his injuries at Jones Beach and then was transported to a local hospital by medics from the Nassau County Police Department Emergency Ambulance Bureau. TSA Officials Snag Twelfth Loaded Gun Of The Year At Boston Logan Airport
Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers are already encroaching the total number of firearms detected at Boston Logan International Airport last year and its not even July! This comes after officers prevented a passenger from taking a 9mm gun and 28 rounds of ammunition onto an aircraft on Friday, June 24, the agency said in a release. New Sobriety Checkpoint Scheduled For Massachusetts
Massachusetts State Police announced plans to implement a new sobriety checkpoint this weekend. State Police said the sobriety checkpoint will be enforced in Worcester County from Saturday, May 21, through Sunday, May 22. Several Schools Placed On Lockdown After Assault At CT Residence
Several Connecticut schools were placed on lockdown after an assault was reported at a residence in the area. Police received a report of an assault with a knife in Hartford County at a home on Columbus Avenue near Route 6 in Bristol at about 8:50 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, the Bristol Police Department reported. State police arrested a Connecticut man after he allegedly held a BB gun to the head of a driver of the vehicle he was in and a knife to the driver's wrist, in what police are calling a domestic violence incident. New Sobriety Checkpoint Scheduled In Massachusetts
There will be a new sobriety checkpoint set up in Massachusetts by state police to curtail impaired driving and educate the public about its dangers. Col.
