Update: Police Identify Person Found Dead In Wooded Area Of Trumbull Trumbull Police have confirmed the identity of the body that was discovered in the wooded area near the Pequonnock River Valley. The decomposed body was found by a hiker on Sunday, May 7, said Lt. Brain Weir, of the Trumbull Police. The Chief Medical Examiner has confirmed the person’s identity as that of Matthew Robinson, age 29, of Trumbull, Weir said. Hiker Discovers Body In Wooded Area Of Trumbull A hiker discovered a decomposed body while traveling through a densely wooded area in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Trumbull during the afternoon on Sunday, May 7, said Lt. Brian Weir of the Trumbull Police. The hiker was walking in a densely wooded area a short distance from Church Hill Road that borders the Pequonnock River Valley walking trail when he came upon a partially decomposed body and some personal property nearby, Weir said.
