The incident took place in Shelton at the Walmart located on Bridgeport Avenue around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31. According to Shelton Police, a vehicle approached the woman and the passenger exited and stole her purse while pushing her.  Eyewitnesses and video surveillance revealed the vehicle was Hyundai Tucson which was later discovered to be stolen, police said. Stamford Liquor Store Burglarized By Two Men Police in Fairfield County are asking the public for help identifying two men who allegedly broke into a liquor store and made off with liquor and cigarettes. The incident took place in Stamford at Wagon Wheel Liquors on Long Ridge Road around 4:20 a.m., on Monday, May 29. According to Stamford Police Sgt. Sean Scanlan, the two men broke the glass on the front door and made entry taking liquor and cigarettes.  The loss of items and damage was over $5,000. ID Released For 23-Year-Old Hit, Killed By Train In CT Police have released the identity of a man who was hit and killed by an Amtrak train in Connecticut. Hartford County resident Amani Abele Ashley, age 23, of Bristol, was killed around 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 30 while walking along the train tracks near the intersection of Surrey Lane in Berlin. Know Him? Man Wanted For Armed Newburgh Robbery Police are asking the public for help identifying an armed man wanted for allegedly robbing a convenience store. The robbery took place in Orange County around 10:40 p.m. on Sunday, March 5 at the Stewart's Shop in the town of Newburgh. According to Newburgh Police, the man pressed an unknown black object into the back of the cashier and demanded cash and Newport cigarettes. Aggressive Driving Campaign: State Police Conduct Detail In Rockland County After numerous serious crashes on the Palisades Parkway with fatalities in the Hudson Valley, the New York State Police conducted an aggressive driving campaign. The campaign, held in Rockland County from Monday, May 16 to Sunday, May 28, the effort was held to deter motorists from speeding and reckless driving, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
