Troopers Nab Midnight Interloper On I-84/Route 8 After Pursuit Traffic on Interstate 84 came to a grinding half early Tuesday morning when a wayward dog found his way onto the middle of the highway in the Waterbury area, according to Connecticut State Police.A trooper from Troop A in Southbury was patrolling Route 8 northbound near Exit 35 around midnight when he saw the dog crossing the median. The trooper tried to rescue the dog, but it ran down the highway and headed for I-84. Other troopers were soon called to the scene, and a foot chase ensued.
