Weinstein Wins Re-election in Weston

WESTON, Conn. - Weston First Selectman Gayle Weinstein will keep her seat after fending off a challenge from Republican Selectman Dan Gilbert, who also lost his seat on the board of selectman.

Weinstein, a Democrat, won another two-year term with 1,401 votes to Gilbert's 1,063. In the race for selectman, incumbent Selectman David Muller, a Democrat, beat Republican Dennis Tracey, 1,248 votes to 1,209.

Because Gilbert had the lowest total votes, Muller and Tracey will both get seats on the three-person board.

Check The Daily Weston later tonight for more complete election results.
