If great looks and good health happen by sheer osmosis, then the second annual Health & Wellness Expois definitely the place you'll want to be to rub elbows with Brittany Decker, Miss Connecticut 2010. You can also explore a variety of healthy foods, fitness regimens and yoga exhibitions, to name a few activities. More than 100 exhibits will be on display at the Expo, which will be held Wednesday, May 25, 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Stamford Plaza Hotel, 2701 Summer Street.
This year's theme, Healthy, Wealthy and Wise, showcases advancements in healthcare, financial health and healthy homes. Sponsors will also throw a "healthy cocktail party," featuring fresh food and beverages from local restaurants and markets.
Decker will speak about her fitness regimen and perform a number from "Dancing with the Stars." You'll also find demos from Jazzercise, Fred Astaire Dance Studio, The Greenwich Ballroom, LA Boxing, The Training Floor, Punch Kettlebell Gym and Carozza Fitness, recently featured on the "Today" show.
Among the exhibitors are Hypnosis for Health, nutrition coach Mindy Kannon of Chew Your Rope, the Sadkhin Complex of Westport, a weight loss program using acupressure, Sacred Doors, a holistic healing and education center in Wilton, EcoMaids, a green home cleaning service, and the SilverHandkerchief, a natural antibacterial product made with silver.
Tickets can be purchased at GreenwichYPG.com. Prices are $20 per person before May 25 and $25 on May 25. Tickets will also be available at the expo for $25.
