Easton Police Officer Suffers Smoke Inhalation While Rescuing Dog From Fire
EASTON, Conn. — A veteran Easton police officer suffered smoke inhalation injuries after he entered a burning home in town to rescue a trapped dog, police said.
The homeowner called 911 at about 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, and said that his house was on fire and that he could not control it, police said.
The Easton Police and Fire Department, along with numerous other fire departments from the area, responded to the fire at 25 Deerfield Drive, police said.
