The FBI has confirmed that remains found a day ago in a Florida nature reserve are those of Brian Laundrie.
The agency tweeted Thursday, Oct. 21: "On October 21, 2021, a comparison of dental records confirmed that the human remains found at the T. Mabry Carlton, Jr. Memorial Reserve and Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park are those of Brian Laundrie."

A memorial visitation for Gabby Petito, the Long Island native whose missing person search and then homicide captivated the nation, will be open to the public.
The visitation for the 22-year-old Petito will be held from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 26, in Suffolk County at Moloney’s Holbrook Funeral Home at 825 Main St. in Holbrook, according to the funeral home.
