CT Conman Steals $200K In Gold Coins From Estate, Feds Say A Connecticut man is facing federal charges for allegedly swindling a Western Massachusetts estate out of hundreds of thousands of dollars in gold coins. William Dawson, age 51, was indicted on fraud charges by a federal grand jury in Worcester on Wednesday, Oct. 18. According to prosecutors, Dawson met with an employee of a home cleanout business in January 2023 after the company was hired by an estate in Shrewsbury. Couple Steals $20K Worth Of Items At CT Homes, Police Say A Naugatuck couple accused in the 2017 theft of thousands of dollars worth of items from a dead Ansonia woman's home have pleaded not guilty. Christopher Lanci, 26, and Samantha Lanci, 23, are also accused of using keys found in the home to break into the woman's daughter's home, according to information obtained by the Connecticut Post.
