College Student In NY's Hudson Valley Killed In Hit-Run Crash Near Campus A college student was killed in and hit-and-run crash near campus in the Hudson Valley. The incident happened around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23 in Ulster County outside SUNY New Paltz where the victim, Ray Rattray, age 22, was a student. The Ulster County Sheriff's Office said the crash occurred on Route 208 in the town of New Paltz between the area of Hawk Drive and Cross Creek Road. When deputies arrived, they located Rattray, a New York City resident, in a wooded area approximately 20 feet from the road.  Rattray was a Philosophy major, an Educational Opportunity Program student, …

ID Released For Fairfield County Man Struck, Killed In Hit-Run Crash Police in Connecticut have identified a Fairfield County man who was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash. John W. Capodanno, age 64, of Bethel, was killed around 9:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 6 in Litchfield County in the area of 177 Danbury Road in New Milford. According to New Milford Police, Capodanno was crossing the street when he was struck and killed by a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse driven by Maria Bosch, age 41, of New Milford. Bosch, who was not injured, fled the scene but her vehicle was found at a nearby apartment complex, police said. She is cooperating with the police, officials…

Police Locate Driver, Vehicle In Hit-Run Crash That Killed Woman, 32, In Fairfield Police have located both the driver and vehicle in a hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a woman in Fairfield County over the July 4th weekend. Marileidy Morel Araujo, 32, of Matamoras, Pennsylvania, was killed in the crash that happened around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 4 in the Town of Fairfield in the area of 2000 Redding Road.
