Man Rescued After House Fire Breaks Out In Fairfield County A man was rescued from a blazing Fairfield County house fire that caused more than $250,000 in damage. The blaze broke out in the Town of Fairfield around 5:10 a.m., Tuesday, May 3 at the home located at 577 Kings Highway East. Fairfield firefighters responded to the fire after receiving a call from a passerby reporting smoke and fire coming from the house, said Assistant Chief Roger Caisse, of the Fairfield Fire Department.
