Company Manager From Fairfield County Who 'Loved To Laugh' Dies At Age 49
Friends and loved ones are remembering a Connecticut woman for her sense of humor and love for animals.
Fairfield County resident Katherine Hagendorf, of Danbury, died Monday, Aug. 1, at the age of 49, according to her obituary. A cause of death was not listed.
Born in New York City on Dec. 22, 1972 to parents Ross and Teresa (Brisland) Angione, Hagendorf later obtained a bachelor of arts degree in English at New York University, her memorial said.
She married her husband, John Hagendorf, on Oct. 12, 2013 in New York City.

Man Who Grew Up In CT Dies Unexpectedly At Age 25
A man who grew up in Fairfield County and pursued higher education opportunities out of state has died at the age of 25.
Luke Walter Kostrzewski, a former resident of Darien, died unexpectedly in Charleston, South Carolina, on Tuesday, July 19, according to his obituary.
He was born in Stamford and graduated from Darien High School.
According to his obituary, Kostrzewski also graduated from the College of Charleston, and he had plans to continue his education.

Ex-US Marine From NY Killed In Ukraine After Joining Fight Against Russia
A Hudson Valley man has been killed fighting alongside Ukraine this week, according to CNN.
Willy Joseph Cancel, age 22, formerly of Orange County, was killed while working with a private military contracting company when he was killed on Monday, April 25, CNN reported.
Cancel, a former US Marine, and a corrections officer in Tennessee, signed up to work for the company shortly after the war broke out a the end of February, his mother, Rebecca Cabrera confirmed to CNN.

21-Year-Old Killed In Rollover Fairfield County Crash
A local man was killed in a rollover crash in Fairfield County.
Brandon G. Cux Calima, age 21, of Stamford, was killed around 6:50 a.m., Saturday, March 12 in Wilton.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found Cux Calima in the vehicle on Route 7, between Old Mill Road and New Street, said Lt. Gregg Phillipson, of the Wilton Police.
Cux Calima was pronounced dead at the scene, Phillipson said.
The Wilton Police Crash Reconstruction Team is continuing to investigate this incident.
