2 Shot Outside Of Bridgeport Sports Bar Two men were shot outside a Fairfield County sports bar, leaving one in critical condition. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 12:15 a.m., Sunday, July 30 in front of Banks Sports Bar at 102 Bank St. Officers quickly responded to the area to find both victims had already been transported to an area hospital via private vehicle, said Bridgeport Police Capt. Two Charged In Assault That Leaves Victim Seriously Injured Two suspects have been arrested for the brutal beating of a man that took place earlier this fall in Shelton. On Oct. 12, around 1 a.m. Shelton Police were dispatched to the area of 159 Center St., on a report of an unresponsive male laying on the sidewalk covered in blood, said Shelton Det. Chris Nugent.  EMS was dispatched to the scene and transported the 35 year old male to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he was treated for serious injuries to his face and body. Woman Assaulted In Westport Dispute Over Money A pair of women from Bridgeport allegedly assaulted a third woman in a Westport parking lot following a dispute over money, according to a Westport-News report. The victim reportedly left work on Jan. 25, when she was allegedly approached by 19-year-old Dulces Rios-Melendez and a Naomi Torres, 20, who were waiting for her at her vehicle. The report states that Rios-Melendez and her victim began arguing over a money issue before striking her several times.
