'Beautiful Soul': Family Of Slain CT DOT Worker Grieves As Driver Faces More Charges
A 55-year-old Connecticut woman accused of crashing into a state Department of Transportation worker while intoxicated now faces more charges linked to the fatal crash this summer, authorities announced on Monday, Sept. 16.
New Haven County resident Denise Lucibello, of East Haven, is now charged with second-degree manslaughter, the New Haven Judicial District State's Attorney Office said. She was already accused of driving under the influence, driving on a suspended license, and several traffic infractions.

A 42-year-old Fairfield County man has been identified as the victim of a fiery single-vehicle crash.
The collision occurred around 4:45 a.m., Wednesday, April 10, on Route 8, south of Exit 7.
According to Connecticut State Police, Antoni Marcos Rodrigues-Deoliveira, of Bridgeport, was driving southbound in the right lane when his 2014 Ford Econoline van drifted across both travel lanes, entered the grassy median, and struck the concrete bridge abutment for the White Plains Road overpass.

CT Contractor To Pay $3.2 Million To Resolve Criminal, Civil Investigation
A Connecticut electrical contractor has been fined $3.2 million for alleged fraud connected with public construction contracts.
Ducci Electrical Contractors, Inc., of Farmington, was ordered to pay the fine, along with internal reforms to as part of a criminal and civil investigation into its business practices, said John Durham, U.S. States Attorney for the District of Connecticut.

Expect Delays: New Exit Numbers For CT Highways Going Up Now
The highway you know like the back of your hand is changing - expect some delays.
New exit numbers and signs are being posted, starting today Monday, Dec. 7, along Routes 9, 17, and 82. The new signs will connect motorists to I-95 and I-84, and Route 154, among other places.
The updates may cause traffic delays on Monday, Dec. 7, through Friday, Dec. 11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. Also, delays may be experienced on Saturdays and Sundays, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

Two From Fairfield County Killed In Wrong-Way, Head-On Crash
Two young men were killed during a double-fatal wrong-way crash in Fairfield County.
Kyle Jackson, 28, of Stratford, and Tyler Field Stevens, 22, of Shelton, were killed around 2:19 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 6 on Route 25 in Bridgeport, said the Connecticut State Police.
According to police, Jackson was driving southbound on Route 25 in the right lane, while Stevens was traveling in the wrong direction on the roadway (northbound) in the southbound lane at the same time.
The two vehicles collided head-on just south of Exit 3, police said.
