Blaze Rips Through Newtown Home; Family Escapes Without Injury Fire tore through a Connecticut home late last night, leaving significant damage but no injuries, authorities said.  Firefighters were called to the Newtown home around 9:30 p.m. The Botsford Fire Department said everyone inside was able to escape.  Crews fought their way into the home and salvaged several personal items for the family, removing them from the home, while battling the fire.  Botsford Fire Department Firefighters from across Fairfield County responded to the fire. All crews had left the scene  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Roger Villa, age 23, of Danbury, was arrested on Monday, May 15 for the crash which took place on Saturday, May 6 at the intersection of South Main Street and Greenbriar Lane in Newtown, said Det.
