'We Will Remember': Loved Ones Honor 4 CT Residents Killed In Plane Crash Communities across Connecticut are reeling following the death of four residents in a small airplane crash on Sunday, Sept. 8, as they returned home from a luncheon in Rhode Island.  The victims were:  Paul Pelletier, age 55, of Columbia, in Tolland County Frank Rodriquez, age 88, of Lebanon, in New London County Susan Van Ness, age 51, of Middletown, in Middlesex County Delilah Van Ness, age 15, of Middletown, in Middlesex County Pelletier was an aviation teacher at Middletown High School and Delilah Van Ness was his student. Susan Van Ness was Delilah's mother.  Ori…

IDs Released For Pilot, Passenger Killed In Small Plane Crash Near Westchester County Airport The identities have been released of two people who were killed after a small plane crashed near Westchester County Airport. The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19 near the airport in White Plains. The wreckage of the single-engine Beechcraft A36 was found just west of the airport near Rye Lake (marked in red in the image above). The two were en route from John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens to a small regional airport in Richmond Heights, Ohio, near Cleveland, reportedly to attend a funeral. Airplane Crashes Into Occupied Groton Home An airplane crashed into a Groton home the evening of Monday, Aug. 17 - slamming through the occupied dwelling’s roof. No fatalities or life-threatening injuries were reported with the flight crew or residents, police said. At around 10:38 p.m. Groton Emergency Communications Center received multiple reports of a plane crash on Ring Drive at Donna Drive. The small aircraft was carrying two people.
