Fatal Fire: Man In 60s Found Inside Burned-Out Vernon Home A Connecticut man in his 60s was found dead inside a home following a house fire. The fire took place in Tolland County around 11:30 p.m., Sunday, June 11 on Haney Lane in Vernon. According to Lt. Robert Marra of the Vernon Police, firefighters overhauling the house after the fire was extinguished found the body of a man in his 60s inside the home. 34-Year-Old CT Woman Found Dead Inside Vehicle An investigation is underway after a woman was found dead in a running car in Fairfield County.  Police responded to a report of a person lying in the backseat of a running car in Westport in the parking lot of 40 Jesup Road at about 8:40 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, according to the Westport Police Department. Officers determined that the occupant was not responsive, police said. Body Found In CT Pond Police are investigating after a body was found in a Connecticut pond. The body of a man was found after Hartford Police received information regarding a body floating in a pond at Bushnell Park around 7:30 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 12. When officers arrived at the park they retrieved the man's body, said Lt.
