Edith K. O'Brien, 85, Yonkers Resident YONKERS, N.Y. — Yonkers resident Edith K. O'Brien died Monday, May 9. She was 85. A native of the Bronx, N.Y., O'Brien was employed by Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York as a chief of histology.  She also was a 20-year volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital, worked for the Yonkers Board of Elections and was a member of the Yonkers Senior Group.  O'Brien is survived by her sons, Thomas and John O'Brien; and her sister, Mary Cohane.  O'Brien was predeceased by her husband, George. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sinatra Memorial Home Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers.
