He was 82.  Prior to retiring, he worked as a construction worker for Bar San Construction Company of Hackensack.  He was a parishioner of St. Francis R. C. She was 100.  Born June 19, 1915, in Calashibetta, Italy, Giambarberi came to the United States in 1962. Karl H. Burns, 91, Oakland Resident OAKLAND, N.J. — Oakland native Karl H. Burns died Saturday, May 7. He was 91. Burns grew up and lived in Oakland until his retirement in March 2001, when he moved to Eastham, Mass.  He joined the U.S. Marine Corp in November 1942, serving in the Pacific Theater.  He was wounded May 4, 1945 in Okinawa, Japan, received the Purple Heart and spent 18 months in a U.S. Navy hospital.  Upon his discharge from the Marine Corps, he went into business with his father and founded HP Burns & Sons, a hardware and garden supply store in Oakland.  He is survived by his wife Lisa (Nieswandt) Burns; …
