Man Gets 55-Year Sentence For Killing Best Friend In Fairfield County
A Fairfield County man will spend more than five decades in prison after being sentenced for fatally shooting his best friend in Bridgeport. Norwalk resident Deondre Bowden, 26, was sentenced to 55 years in prison for fatally shooting New Haven resident Lawn Toles, 43, who was reportedly his best friend. Bowden was convicted last year on murder, robbery and weapons charges. First responders in Bridgeport were dispatched to a stretch of Railroad Avenue at approximately 9:30 p.m. on May 24, 2017, where there was a report of a dead body.
