Two Men Charged With Stealing Scrap Metal From Metro-North In Stamford STAMFORD, Conn. -- Two men pushing a shopping cart filled with pieces of railroad and spikes stolen from a Metro-North location were arrested after a short foot pursuit Thursday morning, Stamford police said. Sgt. Jennifer Lynch said Eversource security called police at about 5:15 a.m. to say two men were possibly on their property at 391 Pacific St., after being alerted by motion detectors on a closed circuit television. Stratford Police Identify 64-Year-Old Woman Hit, Killed By Car Behind Store STRATFORD, Conn. — The 64-year-old woman hit and killed by a car Tuesday morning in Stratford has been identified as Carmen Flores-Carrillo, police said Thursday. Flores-Carrillo was struck by the car while crossing Longbrook Avenue near Paterson Avenue in a busy retail part of Stratford, police Capt. Frank Eannotti said. Flores-Carrillo was born in Peru. Police: Greenwich Bank Robber Flees Into Port Chester After Crash In Chase GREENWICH, Conn. — Police were searching for a man who robbed the Patriot National Bank at gunpoint at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and was last seen fleeing into Port Chester, N.Y., after a police pursuit, Greenwich Police said. 64-Year-Old Woman Hit, Killed By Car In Stratford STRATFORD, Conn. — A 64-year-old woman was hit and killed by a car Tuesday morning while crossing Longbrook Avenue near Paterson Avenue in a busy part of Stratford, police Capt. Frank Frank Eannotti said. Eannotti said the woman was taken to Bridgeport Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Police are investigating the fatal accident, which occurred on the road behind the Burlington Coat Factory, a busy cut-through street in the area.
