Robert J. Brown, Longtime Greenwich Police Lieutenant, Dies At 74 Robert J. Brown, a retired Greenwich Police Lieutenant, has died at age 74, Greenwich Police announced Wednesday. He started employment with the department in January of 1969 and retired on in February 2002, a career of 33 years and one month.  Lt. Brown was a lifelong resident of Greenwich attending Greenwich schools. He served with the U.S. Air Force from 1962–1966 and was honorably discharged.
