Former Fairfield County Man Shot, Killed In Police Shootout A former Stamford man who survived being shot in the chest, abdomen, and legs in July 2016, was shot and killed Thursday by Nassau County Sheriff's deputies in Fernandina Beach, Fla. According to sheriff's officials, the department received a 911 call right before midnight from Jason Raffaeli, 25, who lived at the Amelia Island Surf and Racquet Club Condominiums, saying there were three armed men inside his apartment. Woman Nabbed In Brazen Fairfield County Jewelry Store Robbery One of three women and a man wanted for a brazen jewelry store robbery last year has been arrested by the Wilton Police Department. Yolanda Santa, 56, of Ridgewood, New York in Queens has been charged with felony larceny in connection with the Oct. 18, robbery of Campus Jewelers at 5 River Road, said Lt. Robert Kluk. During the robbery, the three females then distracted the two salespeople while the man stole jewelry from the behind the counter and put it in a brown paper shopping bag he was carrying, Kluk said.
